Irish motorsport champion Oran England is set to bring his racing talent to Skegness Gala Night, where he’ll be taking on an entirely new motorsport experience. England, who has already made waves in rallying and karting, will be behind the wheel of a V8 Brisca Stock Car for the very first time. Hailing from Ireland, Oran isn’t coming alone—he’s bringing a strong group of supporters, eager to watch him compete on this thrilling new stage.
Reflecting on his journey, Oran shared how motorsport has been woven into the fabric of his life from the start. "Growing up, I was always around rally cars, going for spins whenever I could with my dad, who was actively rallying at the time," he said. This early exposure fueled his passion, and by 2014, he was in the driver’s seat, setting his own course in motorsport.
Oran’s achievements on the track have been remarkable, with his first major win in 2017 at the X30 Mini Irish Karting Championship. This victory earned him a chance to represent Ireland at the prestigious IAME World Finals at Circuit de Le Mans, where he competed again in 2018 and 2019. After COVID-19 impacted the racing world in 2020, Oran came back stronger in 2021, moving into the senior class and placing second in the Irish Championship, which earned him another trip to the World Finals, this time in Portugal.
In 2022, Oran clinched the Irish Championship title and went on to represent Ireland again at the World Finals in 2022 and 2023. This year, he took a leap into rallying, transitioning from karting to a Fiesta Rally4. His debut season has been nothing short of impressive, with three podium finishes out of five rallies and multiple fastest stage times, laying the groundwork for a promising 2025.
Now, Oran is preparing to step out of his rallying comfort zone and into the unique, high-octane world of V8 Brisca Stock Car racing. He first experienced the excitement of these races as a spectator last year, and now he’s thrilled to be part of the action. "This is a whole new experience for me," Oran said, "and I’d like to personally thank everyone who helped make this happen, with a special shout-out to the Bullock family and Alan McNally."
As he takes on this latest challenge at Skegness Gala Night, Oran will be cheered on by his friends and family. We wish him the best of luck as he makes his mark in the world of stock car racing!
